    Hi! I’m Cecily I have been volunteering at Healthwatch since November 2022 as part of my Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award. I want to go into medicine and I have found this the ideal place to volunteer to support that goal.

  6. Croydon vulnerable migrants’ experiences of health and care services - May 2024

    This report was funded by the Care Quality Commission(CQC) and supports their wider work in engaging with seldom listened to groups.

    We worked closely with the Rainbow Health Centre to interview and survey 58 vulnerable migrants from 24 countries, living in Croydon. They share their experiences of using health and social care services with us. Our thanks to all who participated in the survey and interviews and to Rainbow Health Centre staff and the Best Western Queens Hotel Crystal Palace management for enabling access to participants.

    I have been a resident of Croydon for the majority of my life. I became a Healthwatch volunteer in order to help my community, and to also give back in some way. I have volunteered for quite some time. I enjoy working with the organisation, and I know we do valuable work that is needed in the community. All of the volunteers and the staff are friendly and helpful. In my leisure time, I enjoy watching comedy programmes, films and sports. I also enjoy jogging.
